It has served us very well over the time but due to a new company car its time to part company but we will be sad to see it go.This is the top spec model, UK supplied so includes: Full cream leather, Wood dash and steering wheel, Factory fitted Sat Nav, Climate control, Electric heated seats, 6 CD auto changer, Cruise control, Electric windows all round 17" Alloy wheels and sun reflecting glass for passengers and boot.Its finished in silver over grey metallic paint.There`s is full Lexus service history to 60k bills and receipts there after, all old MOT`s and had an oil service and Cam Belt change 6 months ago and rear brake pads were also replaced.The car is in good order for the age and mileage (122k) aside of some stone chipping to the front there are a couple of points to mention. There is a dent in the front passenger door (shown in the picture) it was there when we purchased the car and have never got round to repairing, minor scuffing to the n/s/f corner (shown in picture) it has been touched in but its there! and the n/s/r mud guard is scuffed and has an additional screw securing a 50p size piece of plastic that is damaged.The dent in the door is the worst part and i would expect a sensible body shop to charge in the region of £150-200 to repair, the other bits are minor damage and could easily be repaired by a smart repairer for not very much, but they are present on the car and want to give an honest appraisal, its only fair!The front tyres are of average wear still with plenty of miles in them but the rears are getting low and the o/s/r outer edge is starting to look a bit smooth! So rear tyres would need replacing soon.The Leather is a bit worn on the edge of the drivers seat from getting in and out but is not ruined and would all come up well with a leather treatment.Has 2 keys although the battery has gone in one.The personal plate WILL NOT be sold with the car and will be removed. (7 stamps), and all the old MOTs. We have owned it for nearly 2 years, the previous owner owned it from new. The car passed its mot earlier this month (no advisories), and was serviced last week, so should provide very cheap motoring for a long time. The car is absolutely superb inside and out, and has been 100% reliable (as have all 4 Lexus we have owned). The exterior is finished in a light silver blue colour, which really suits the car, and is set off by its 18 inch wheels. The tyres are all good. There are no noticeable marks or scuffs anywhere on the outside. The interior is again immaculate, and has lovely soft leather heated seats, and all the toys you would expect in a Lexus, including indash 6 cd changer, multiple speakers, climate control, cruise control, power fold mirrors, auto lights and wipers, auto dimming mirrors,and reversing camera.The rear seat slides back and forward to increase legroom or boot space. The six cylinder 3 litre engine provides plenty of power, and is driven by a smooth 5 speed auto gearbox, with fully automatic or manual gear changes. We have been surprised how economical it is for such a large car, sometimes returning over 30mpg, but averages out at about 25mpg in the hilly Cornish countryside, where we live. I know a lot of people are converting these cars to run on LPG, which costs 73p per litre, to reduce running costs, but we have not done so, as we only do a low mileage. Interestingly, we had a BMW X5 Diesel, before the Lexus, and that was only slightly more economical, and was nowhere near as nice to drive or as reliable. The LS was powered by a technology-assisted 4.0 liter four cam V-8, which generated 290 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque. for being impeccably built, and this is especially true with the LS models. Inside the car, there is hardly any wear at all, as you can see from the photographs. The rear doesn`t really look any different from brand-new, and even the driver`s seat has very few creases or marks.Outside, the paintwork has a deep shine, but there are several stonechips on the front bumper as you`d expect. There are no dents whatsoever, but there is a scratch on the driver`s door which has been previously touched-up. It`s not noticeable from a distance, but can still be seen when examined closely. Some of the wheels have areas where the paint is beginning to flake away, but this is cheap to rectify these days if you wanted to bring them back to pristine condition. Maintenance The car has had 13 Lexus dealer services during its life, all of which are stamped in the service book (most invoices are present too). After around 120k miles, it`s had Lexus independent services, along with regular full-synthetic oil changes (last one at 163k miles). At that time, front & rear brake discs and pads were replaced, along with all 4 oxygen sensors (receipt present). One oxygen sensor had failed, so I had all 4 replaced at the same time. The spark plugs were changed at 153k miles. A new battery was fitted a few months ago too. The MOT expires May 2012, and there were no advisories issued at the last MOT. As you can see, it`s been well cared-for, and most consumable items won`t need replacing for many, many miles. Absolutely everything on the car works perfectly - every single switch. Equipment and Options The majority of equipment on the LS430 is standard anyway (dual climate control, xenon lights, cruise control, heated & cooled electric seats, sat nav, 6-CD changer, Mark Levinson premium sound, rear & side sunblins, electric windows, mirrors, etc), but the Premium Pack adds a few extra features, so the following are worth pointing out separately... No airbag damage and is a CAT D, so will not need a vic check. due to the EGR valve getting clogged up, eventually (and usually around 100K) the vehicle will experience a lack of power and when this happens the vehicle needs to be overhauled with a new engine block and associated componants (this is well documented on all the forums) it is sometimes called the 5th injector recall! My Lexus has only just had this recall done, on 31st October 2011, by Lexus Exeter, they reckon this would have cost Lexus around £5000. The mileage was 97487 when it went in for the recall. This recall/repair has a 12 months parts and workmanship warranty from Lexus Exeter, and i have a letter confirming all this. So why risk buying one that hasnt been done?
